Die Schleppleine ist ein rundgenähtes Nylon-Tau mit etwa 15 m Länge und etwa 5 mm Durchmesser. Sie wird für das Training mit dem Hund genutzt, etwa beim Rückruftraining oder bei der Fährtenarbeit, wenn der Hund Bewegungsfreiheit haben, aber gesichert bleiben soll. Am Ende befindet sich eine Handschlaufe, mit der man die Leine festhalten kann. Die Leine schwimmt und lässt sich deshalb auch am Wasser einsetzen. Durch die rote Farbe sieht man sie im Gras gut.

For which training situations is a long line suitable?
The long line is intended for training with the dog, especially recall training and tracking work. It gives the dog freedom of movement while it remains secured by the leash.
When is a 15 m leash more useful than a short lead?
With a length of about 15 m, this version is intended for training at a greater distance and for extensive terrain. A short lead is not designed for this when the dog is to move farther away from the handler while still remaining on the leash.
Is the leash suitable for training by water or in tall grass?
The leash floats and can therefore also be used by water. Its red color makes it more visible in grass.
How is the long line held and attached to the dog?
