Questions and answers
What is a lick mat suitable for?
The mat is spread with pastes, wet food or dairy products. Licking calms the animal and can provide periods of rest. In doing so, the animal consumes only a small amount of snack over a longer period.
How does the mat support slow snack consumption?
The raised surface with a bone pattern distributes the spread snack on the mat. This keeps the animal occupied with licking for longer, instead of consuming a lot of snack at once. The mat is square and approximately 20 × 20 cm in size.
Is the mat also suitable for moist or chilled snacks?
An already filled mat can be frozen to offer a cool snack. The surrounding rim catches liquids, and the non-slip underside keeps the mat in place.
How can the mat be cleaned and stored after use?
The silicone mat is dishwasher-safe and can be cleaned in the dishwasher after use. According to the product photo, it also has an eyelet for hanging.
